At the core of the Leadership Balance Assessment lies a profound understanding of the multifaceted nature of leadership. This assessment serves as a comprehensive tool, meticulously crafted to evaluate the balance and alignment of two critical spectrums: heart-head and being-doing.
Heart-head leadership balances emotional intelligence with logical thinking. Leaders integrate empathy, compassion, and understanding (heart) with rational decision-making, objectivity, and problem-solving (head). This combination ensures that leaders are not only compassionate and supportive but also capable of making informed, effective decisions. By balancing these aspects, leaders can handle complex interpersonal dynamics, foster strong relationships, and create a trusting and motivating environment for their team members. This approach leads to well-rounded leadership that values both emotional and rational perspectives, promoting a more cohesive and productive team.
Being-doing leadership balances inner qualities with actionable behavior. Leaders combine self-awareness, authenticity, and inner peace (being) with effective action, execution, and achieving results (doing). This balance ensures that leaders are grounded in their values and character while also being proactive and results-oriented. By harmonizing introspection with action, leaders inspire confidence and trust, encouraging their team members to develop their own skills and achieve their goals. This approach promotes a culture of continuous improvement and personal growth, leading to a more dynamic and successful team environment.
The Leadership Balance Assessment (LBA) adds value to traditional assessments by using a holistic approach. While many assessments focus solely on skill acquisition and behavioral patterns, the LBA complements this feedback by diving deeper, and evaluating the alignment between heart and head, being and doing.
By providing insights into both internal alignment and external actions, the Leadership Centeredness Balance Assessment offers a more comprehensive understanding of leadership effectiveness. This nuanced approach enables leaders to cultivate a balanced leadership style that drives sustainable success and fosters genuine connection within their clubs.
This is where the Leadership Balance Assessment (LBA) supports.
This LBA is a comprehensive test of how centered and balanced your Evaluatee’s leadership is. You (as the supervisor) will assess your Evaluatee’s leadership, as will their peers and direct reports.
The results are compiled into a Leadership Balance Report that clearly defines how centered you are (level to which you engage each heart, head, being, and doing) and how balanced you are (level to which you engage both heart and head and both being and doing) in your leadership.
