Modern club leadership requires more than authority—it requires emotional clarity, thoughtful action, and the ability to adapt with intention. The Leadership Centeredness and Balance Assessment™ (LCBA) measures how leaders lead—not just what they do, but how their presence, behavior, and perception align across contexts.
The LCBA gives you a complete picture of leadership effectiveness by measuring two core qualities:
Centeredness and Balance.
Centeredness is the foundation of trust and presence. It reflects a leader’s ability to stay grounded, self-aware, and steady—regardless of the situation.
We measure Centeredness through three lenses:
Proficiency – How strong is the leader in each of the Four Dimensions (Heart, Head, Being, and Doing)?
Consistency – Are their leadership behaviors even, or over/underweighted?
Alignment – How closely does their self-perception match how others experience them?
When leaders are centered, they lead with clarity and integrity—and their teams feel it.
Balance reflects a leader’s ability to shift between complementary behaviors—knowing when to listen and when to act, when to lead with empathy and when to make hard decisions.
We measure Balance through two lenses:
Integration – How well do they move between complementing dimensions (Heart ↔ Head, Being ↔ Doing)?
Alignment – Does their sense of balance match how others experience it?
Balanced leaders are flexible, responsive, and able to adapt without losing their center.
At the heart of the LCBA are the Four Dimensions of Leadership, each representing essential behavioral traits:
Dimension | Definition | Key Traits |
---|---|---|
Heart | Emotional connection and empathy | Active listening, encouragement, compassion |
Head | Clarity and logic in decision-making | Strategic thinking, planning, sound judgment |
Being | Self-awareness and authentic presence | Reflection, groundedness, purpose |
Doing | Follow-through and momentum | Initiative, action, execution |
These dimensions are how the LCBA measures Centeredness and Balance. Every leader expresses all four—what matters is how proficiently and harmoniously they use them.
By providing insights into both internal alignment and external actions, the Leadership Centeredness Balance Assessment™ offers a more comprehensive understanding of leadership effectiveness. This nuanced approach enables leaders to cultivate a balanced leadership style that drives sustainable success and fosters genuine connection within their clubs.
